Toronto Teambuilding Frequently Asked Questions

We've helped plan over 2,000 corporate events. Here's what comes up most. If your question isn't here, call us at (416) 677-3831 or email admin@gotourscanada.com.

Timing and booking

My event is next week. Can you make it work?

Probably YesWe accommodate same-week bookings for walking tours and small Segway tours regularly.

Easiest thing: call us at (416) 677-3831 and we'll tell you what's available right now.

How far ahead should I book for the best options?

Two Weeks minimumTwo to three weeks gives us plenty of room to get your preferred date, time, and tasting partners confirmed.

May to October are our busiest months and popular time slots go fast. December fills up early too because of the Distillery Winter Village. The sooner you reach out, the more flexibility we have.

What if we need to cancel or change our date?

Five DaysOne window covers both. Five or more days out you can move your date or cancel at no charge.

  • 5 or more days before: reschedule free, or cancel for a full refund
  • Inside 5 days: 25% of the event cost for cancellation, 10% for reschedule
  • No-show: charged in full

Travel delays or weather cancellations? We'll work to reschedule later in the day - or to another day where possible at no charge.

On the day

What happens if it rains on our event day?

Walking ToursThe Distillery District has covered walkways, indoor galleries, and sheltered courtyards that can accommodate walking tour groups.

Our guides actually love rainy days because the cobblestone streets empty out and you get the whole neighbourhood to yourselves. For Segway events, we'll convert to a walking and tasting experience and refund the difference - or reschedule/cancel at no charge. If conditions are genuinely unsafe, we'll call you ahead of time to discuss options.

We're at a conference downtown. Can you work with our schedule?

Our SpecialityWe're a 20 minute streetcar ride from the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and walking distance from most downtown hotels.

We'll time your event around your agenda, whether that's a morning energizer before sessions, a lunch-hour stretch in Yorkville, or an after-hours Prohibition tour to close out the day. Tell us your schedule and we'll find the right slot and experience.

Can you handle dietary restrictions and allergies?

Yes, With NoticeMost of our tasting partners offer vegetarian options, and we can arrange alcohol-free alternatives with advance notice.

If you have specific allergies in your group, let us know when you book and we'll confirm with each partner directly. We've handled vegan groups, gluten-free requests, and halal requirements. The more notice you give us, the more options we can offer.

Where do we meet, and is there parking?

We'll ConfirmWe'll send your exact meeting point when you book.

Distillery District events start right in the district, accessible by the King Streetcar, Toronto Bike Share and there's paid parking nearby on Mill and Cherry Street. Yorkville tours meet at a central spot we'll confirm with you. Arriving by charter bus? Let us know and we'll coordinate the drop-off.

Groups and billing

Can we split our group across different experiences?

Groups Love ThisA common setup: half your team does a Segway ride while the other half enjoys a beer or chocolate tasting - then they switch.

For The Full Ride, the rotation is already built in. Pods of eight rotate between Segway, walking, and tasting so the whole group is always active.

Do you provide invoices? Our finance team needs one.

AlwaysWe send a proper invoice with your quote confirmation, and we can format it however your accounting team needs.

We accept credit card, e-transfer, and cheque. If your company requires a PO number on the invoice, just include it in your booking details and we'll add it.

How does tipping work?

Totally OptionalThe builder above gives you 10%, 15% and 20% options that get added pre-tax.

You can also add a gratuity to your final invoice after the event, which many corporate clients prefer. Either way, 100% goes directly to your hard-working guides.

  • Light rain: Segway tours run. We lend you ponchos
  • Thunderstorms, heavy rain or hazardous conditions: no Segway tours
  • If we cancel a Segway event: we switch you to walking and tasting and refund the difference, or give you a full refund or free reschedule

We only call if we're certain your event can't run. Unsure about conditions? Call us and we'll give you an honest read.
