TORONTO WALKING TOURS

AWARD-WINNING WALKING TOURS IN TORONTO’S DISTILLERY DISTRICT

Since 2005 we have been Toronto’s favourite Distillery District Walking Tour company. Join us for a stroll through our gorgeous neighbourhood and breathe in over 200 years of Gooderham and Worts history.

Called “One of Toronto’s Top 10 Walking Tours” by BlogTO, join us year-round for the story of the Gooderham and Worts Distillery.  How did this once dominant empire transform into the modern Distillery District? We’ll answer this and many other questions.

Toronto’s history is far more fascinating than many give credit.  Our expert guides will interpret this rich history through the lens of Gooderham and Worts – and how they became the world’s largest distillery.

Along the way we’ll show you some of the best hidden Distillery District spots and photo locations.

Featuring both indoor* and outdoor areas, this tour is designed to as a fun, modern historical narrative that can be enjoyed by almost anyone.

Note: Your tour guide can follow a fully accessible route upon request.

*The COVID-19 Pandemic has modified our interior routes, we may completely avoid or reduce our indoor routing on the advice of Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer.

Just what is Toronto’s Prohibition history?  Our Prohibition and Whisky Tour aims to answer this question.

While the American Prohibition era was dominated by names like Al Capone and the Real McCoy – they had to get their booze from somewhere.  Canadian distilleries were often the suppliers.

Our Toronto Whisky History tour fills in the gaps of how social strife led to the rise of Prohibition in Canada and the United States.  And how the Gooderham and Worts distillery supplied millions of gallons of booze to both countries.

Our expert guide will also tell you about the legal loopholes that allowed Canada’s alcohol industry to flourish – even if it was technically illegal to drink liquor.

Your tour concludes with a beginner level whisky tasting.  While some Toronto Whisky Tours focus on advanced tastings, our tour is built for everyone to enjoy!
